Betty Brown

Betty Varnell Brown, 88, of Ooltewah, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 24, 2021.

Mrs. Brown was born and raised in Hamilton County. She was a longtime, devoted member of Bayside Baptist Church and graduated from Central High School. Betty also retired from Provident Insurance as the Office Manager after 38 years where she enjoyed the company of her co-workers. She was also a member of the Bradley County Home Demonstration Club. Betty and her husband, Dan were always together and always brought a smile to everyone they met.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Dan Brown; parents, Edwin and Edna Varnell; cousin, Ronnie Kinser; and nephew, Daryl Brown.

Surviving are cousins, Ruby Kinser; second cousins, Kelly Overstreet and Kip (Becky) Kinser; nephew, Mike Brown; niece, Deb (Russell) Collins; and many church family members and special friends, including Scott (Amanda) Rockholt.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 PM on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will follow at 1 PM with Reverend Grady Cooper officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Bayside Baptist Church (6100 Highway 58, Harrison, TN 37341).
