Cal Price stood in the left corner visualizing himself making the game-tying 3-pointer.

Just seconds later the Notre Dame senior guard drained the game-tying shot from distance off one of Tim Vaughn’s six assists with just 3.3 seconds left in regulation.

Price was a difference-maker in the Fighting Irish’s 45-38 road win over rival Chattanooga Christian, scoring 14 points in the fourth quarter and overtime, while his heads-up steal and score with 27 seconds left in the fourth quarter gave his team a fighting shot.

“This was a big win for us in our last regular season game,” said Price after helping Notre Dame finish the regular season with a 16-5 overall record. “I am just fighting for every second of every game we get. DJ Brown was clutch for us again in the second half too and Tim (Vaughn) can do everything. This was a big win for us because this is our rival. When they moved out of our division we were sad because we want to play them and beat them.”

Vaughn was a force with 14 points, while DJ Brown scored all seven of his points in the four-minute overtime period in which he hit a 3-pointer from the left corner to take a 39-38 lead.
