› Office sought: City Council, District 2 › PARTY: N/A

› Previous public office experience: None › Why should voters choose you? Chattanooga has made great progress over the last 30 years in becoming a great place to live, but there is much work left to do to bring that reality to all citizens. I am a small business owner who wishes to bring my enthusiasm for the city along with my problemsolving skills and work ethic to the task of taking Chattanooga to the next level.

› Biggest challenge facing the office you seek? Chattanooga city government needs to become much more responsive to the needs of citizens and transparent in the way it operates. City government needs to remember that Chattanooga’s citizens and businesses are its customers and work to meet their needs rather than viewing them as a nuisance.

› How will you address this challenge? If elected, I will work to make Chattanooga city government responsive to the needs of citizens through working with the mayor to orient all departments of city government toward greater ease of access, towards policies designed to make it easier to do business in Chattanooga, and towards improving the efficiency of dealing with city government.

› What policy position of yours might surprise people? I am not sure that there are any policies that anyone who has met me might be surprised by. However, I would highlight that I am a strong advocate for programs to strengthen families, to improve the quality of education of our youth, and to prepare our children for the demands and jobs in the 21st century work place.

› What past or current public servant do you most admire? Did not answer.
