Christine Wordlaw
Christine A. Wordlaw, 90, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021, at her residence. She was one of Jehovah¶s Witnesses for 68 years and attended the Hamilton Congregation of Jehovah¶s Witnesses in Chattanooga.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Wordlaw, to whom she was married for 56 years; son, Phillip G. Wordlaw; father, Clifford E. Acklin; mother, Lula M. Brown; four brothers; and four sisters.
She is survived by two sons, Leonard E. (Hilda) Wordlaw of London, England and Gary C. (Marjorie) Wordlaw, Sr. of Tallahassee, FL; two daughters, Tempie W. (Thomas, Sr.) Means and Christal W. (Phillip) Westfield, both of Chattanooga; twelve grandchildren, Thomas E. (Buffi) Means, Jr., Maeghan C. Means of Chattanooga, DaJuana (Sean) Dixon, Courtney Rivers of Baltimore, MD, Gary C. Wordlaw, Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK, Anthony B. Maples of Bakersfield, CA, Barry C. Maples of Chattanooga, Joshua (Angela) Wordlaw of Lincoln, NE, Corey Wordlaw, Lisa Freiter, Sarah Wordlaw of London, England, and Jacob Westfield of Chattanooga; three great-grandchildren, Caitlin Freiter of London, England, Terrence L. Montgomery, Jr., and Jackson T. Montgomery of Chattanooga; a special cousin, Mrs. Letha Mason; and a host of nieces; nephews; relatives and friends.
“Ms. Christine¶s” family would like to express a special acknowledgement to the Hospice of Chattanooga Team who worked over and above to take care of “Ms. Christine”. So “thank you” personally, Lorna Mills (Nurse), Michelle Hicks (CNA), and Einre Lopez Fredrich (Social Worker). Whatever you have done to make our burdens lighter, we will always remember. Luke 23 43 says, And He said to him; “Truly I tell you today, ye will be with me in paradise.” We would also like to acknowledge all her spiritual family and friends who loved her dearly.
There will be a memorial service to be announced later.
