Shige U. “Katy” Lindsey, born Jan. 16, 1929, Welcomed into her Father¶s arms April 29, 2021.

Beloved wife, mother, grandmothe­r, and great grandmothe­r.

Survived by: Loving husband of 63 years, Charles “Chuck” Lindsey of East Ridge, Tenn.; Oldest son, Anthony “Tony” R. Lindsey and wife, Janet “Jan” Lindsey of Calhoun, Ga.; Middle son, Timothy “Tim” J. Lindsey of East Ridge, Tenn.;

The most important thing in her life was her family and her faith in Jesus Christ. She excelled at being a loving wife and mother. Katy was a servant to others and deeply touched every person who crossed her path. She spent her life always giving to others. She will be greatly missed by her family, both here and in Japan. She will always live in our hearts and memories.

Special thank you to Hospice of Chattanoog­a, especially Peyton Arnold. Peyton has been an angel to the Lindsey family and we cannot express our gratitude to her for all she did and her continuous support. Also, a special thank you to Autumn Hubbs for coming and helping us through this difficult time.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 5th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Chattanoog­a Funeral Home East Chapel, 404 Moore Rd. The funeral service will be in the funeral home chapel at 12 p.m. with interment at Chattanoog­a National Cemetery.
