Schreiner to manage McLemore golf course
Tom Schreiner has been named general manager of McLemore, a
Scenic Land Company golf course and clubhouse located atop Lookout Mountain in Rising Fawn, Georgia.
Schreiner brings nearly two decades of experience to the role, serving as head golf coach and director of business operations at Covenant College since 2004. At Covenant College, Schreiner oversaw a number of programs for the college, including food services, summer conferences, property rentals, guest cottages, laundry services and office services. He also worked with the Covenant College golf team in an assistant’s role for two years prior to his role as head coach.
“Tom’s knowledge both in the golf world and in business management will be in integral to McLemore’s continued development and expansion,” Scenic Land Company President Duane Horton said, “In a short span of time, we opened the golf course, short course, clubhous and The Creag, our restaurant, to much success. 2020 was a record-breaking year for us, and we look forward to the continued success that Tom’s leadership will bring.”
A Chattanooga resident since 1980, Schreiner played varsity baseball and golf for Tennessee Temple University from 1980 to 1984, and played golf under the tutelage of Dave Ragan, a former PGA tour player and Ryder Cup team member. Over the years, Schreiner has developed a reputation as a top amateur golfer.
He serves as an Elder at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga where he has been a member since 1990.

McLemore is a mountain-top community featuring an 18-hole championship course and a six-hole short course designed by Rees Jones & Bill Bergin.
