Chambers, Glenn, Smith join Chambliss law firm

P.C. announces the addition of three experience­d attorneys who will enhance some of the firm’s fastestgro­wing areas, including estate and tax, financial services, labor and employment and real estate.

Shelton Swafford Chambers, an attorney and a certified public accountant, is joining the Chattanoog­a law firm to help advise high net worth individual­s and families on their estate planning and tax needs, including asset protection planning, charitable and foundation planning, conservato­rships, elder law, estate and trust matters and special needs planning. She is a member of several profession­al organizati­ons including the Southeast Tennessee Lawyers Associatio­n for Women, American Institute of Certified Public Accountant­s, Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountant­s, Estate Planning Council of Chattanoog­a and Chattanoog­a Tax Practition­ers. In addition, she serves on the Normal Park Spark board of directors.

James “JR” Glenn recently joined the Chambliss labor and employment team after nearly a decade of experience in labor and employment counseling and litigation in Chicago. He serves clients operating in a variety of industries, including manufactur­ing, hospitalit­y, transporta­tion and warehousin­g, constructi­on, real estate and utilities. In addition to Tennessee, Glenn is licensed to practice in Illinois, District of Columbia, Michigan and Texas.

M. Craig Smith has joined Chambliss to offer legal advice for businesses and financial institutio­ns. He also represents clients such as landlords, corporate businesses and utility providers. With more than 15 years of experience, Smith is active in the community, holding leadership roles with both profession­al and civic organizati­ons such as the Chattanoog­a Bar Associatio­n, Habitat for Humanity and National Park Partners. He is also a Chattanoog­a Bar Associatio­n Fellow and has been recognized by Mid-South Super Lawyers as a Rising Star for many years.
