› Music and medium: Two of Chattanoog­a’s largest venues reopen this week after a lengthy coronaviru­s pause. George Thorogood & The Destroyers, the rockers responsibl­e for “Bad to the Bone” and “Who Do You Love?” among other hits, will play Tuesday at Walker Theatre on their Good To Be Bad Tour: 45 Years of Rock (7:30 p.m., $50-$65). Theresa Caputo, the “The Long Island Medium,” whose shows are meant to connect her audiences to the dead, will be at Memorial Auditorium on Friday (7:30 p.m., $39-$89). Wreaths Across America’s

Mobile Education Exhibit,which is on a national tour to honor veterans and active-duty military personnel, has two stops scheduled in the Chattanoog­a area. From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, the Chattanoog­a Daughters of the American Revolution Regents Council will host this museum on wheels outside the Hixson Walmart, 5764 Highway 153. Events include Chattanoog­a National Cemetery and WAA education activities (10-11 a.m.), a gathering of Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Young Marines and Sea Cadets (11 a.m.-noon), a Vietnam veterans tribute organized by Vietnam Veterans Associatio­n chapters 203 and 942 (noon-2 p.m.), Medal of Honor tribute with historical interprete­rs (2-3 p.m.), a JROTC and ROTC cadets tribute and a musical tribute to veterans (3-5 p.m.) and youth activities to create a shield for a favorite veteran (5-6 p.m.). After stops in Knoxville and Seviervill­e, the exhibit will be in Cleveland on Aug.

› Meat-and-greet: Celebrity chef and five-time barbecue World Champion Myron Mixon will be at the Elder’s Ace Hardware in East Brainerd 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. Along with members of his Jack’s Old South Grilling Team, he’ll greet fans, do cooking demos and sign copies of his new book, “Keto BBQ: Real Barbecue for a Healthy Lifestyle.” The store is at 8164 East Brainerd Road. › Garden tour: Master Gardeners of Hamilton County have arranged weekend tours of four private gardens and the Bonny Oaks Arboretum. These specialty gardens focus on edibles, container gardening, perennials, native plants and wildlife. Master gardeners will be on hand to answer questions. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Aug. 15. The $20 tickets and addresses can be found online. mghc.org/garden-tour
