Anna Elizabeth “Betty” Bonnard of Signal Mountain, 91, passed away on June 2, 2022. Born August 1930 to Lester and Clara Edna Cagey in Point Marion, Pennsylvan­ia, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Fernand Bonnard and son, Michael Bonnard; sisters: Dawn Silva, Wanda Humbert, Edra Jae and brothers, Dana Cagey and Lee Cagey.

She is survived by daughters Diane (Mark) Prater, Patrice (Gary) Greer, Suzanne (David) Quillian, grandson Matt Prater and adoring nephew Pierre (Marie) Matton.

She grew up in Point Marion, Pennsylvan­ia, graduated from Point Marion High School and began her nurse’s training in Pittsburg. She earned her Registered Nurse degree at Erlanger Hospital in 1952 and put her career on hold to raise her children which was her most important and beloved job. She was an exemplary Mom and Granny always putting her family first. She prided herself in her involvemen­t with the Signal Mountain Social Services where she volunteere­d diligently for many years. She was a longtime member of Signal

Crest United Methodist Church where she was involved in many ways. She was a resident of Signal Mountain since 1962 and Alexian Village since 2004 where she had many friends. She will be greatly missed.

The care and compassion she received at Alexian Health Care and from Hearth Hospice was exemplary, and her family is so appreciati­ve of all those who took care of her. Arrangemen­ts are by Chattanoog­a Funeral Home Hixson.

A private family gathering will be held. Donations may be made to Signal Mountain Social Services, Hearth Hospice or a charity of your choice.
