ROCK SPRING — Troy McClure Sr., 90, passed away early Thursday, October 20th, 2022 after a hospital/rehab stay of several weeks. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfathe­r who loved his family dearly.

Troy retired from Prudential Insurance Co. in 1992 after 32 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army 14th Infantry Division. He also served as treasurer of First Baptist Church of Lakeview for more than 34 years. Troy was a member of the Thompkins Lodge and the Alhambra Shrine. One of his favorite things to do was working with the Bus Unit through Shriners of Chattanoog­a where he took children to the Lexington Hospital in Kentucky where he was also on the Board of Directors.

Troy is survived by his wife of 70 years, Anita White McClure; daughter, Valerie (Brad) Carpenter of Ringgold; son, Troy (Melissa) McClure Jr. of Rock Spring; grandchild­ren, Ashley (Peyton) Carpenter Miller of Lookout Valley, Andrew Carpenter of Ringgold, Faith, Joy and Hope McClure of Rock Spring.

He is predecease­d by his mother and father, Dave and Emma McClure; brothers, Keith, Dewey and Orville McClure.

Family will receive friends 4 - 7 p.m., Monday at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefiel­d Parkway.

Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m., Tuesday in the funeral chapel with Pastor Patrick Cooper and Dave Bolling officiatin­g. Interment will be at Chattanoog­a National Cemetery.
