RINGGOLD — Mrs. Wendy Ellis Morton, 52, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Wendy was born in Chattanoog­a, Tenn. on March 29, 1970 to Mr. David Ellis and the late Mrs. Daisy Jo Custer Ellis. Wendy was a loving mother and devoted wife. Her love of life and laughter was contagious. She was a graduate of Rossville High School Class of 1988, a member of Rossville Church of Christ and worked for over 20 years in medical records at Memorial Hospital. Wendy was a fighter, fighting breast cancer for 19 years and never complained. Wendy’s laughter that would fill the room will certainly be missed by all those who loved her. She is preceded in death by her mother, Daisy Jo Ellis, sister; Jennifer Stanley, grandparen­ts; Frank and Betty Ellis and Silas and Nora Custer and uncle, Denny Ellis. Wendy is survived by her husband of 25 years, Daniel Morton, son, Garrett Morton, father, David Ellis, sister, Tonya Ells, mother and fatherin-law, Deborah and Harold Morton, nephews; Josh, Tre and Hunter Collier, nieces; Lacy Collier, Raven Leamon and Aubrey Stanley and brothers and sister-in-law, Charlie Stanley, Kenny Collier and Angie Collier. Many cousins and dear friends also survive to cherish Wendy’s memory. The family will receive friends at Rossville Church of Christ on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 from 3 - 9 p.m. and then again on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 11 a.m. until the service hour. A celebratio­n of Wendy’s life will be conducted at Rossville Church of Christ on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 2 p.m.. Interment will follow the service at TennesseeG­eorgia Memorial Park.
