In later years, Jeannine worked in Savannah as a patient care representative. She was very popular in a huge hospital. Jeannine volunteered at the Rape Crisis Center in Savannah and participated in the “No One Dies Alone” program at Memorial Health Hospital providing company for those who were alone in hospital rooms at the end of life.
Jeannine was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother, M. Kim Maynard of Greensboro, NC.
She is survived by daughters Lynne Stern (Lester) of Ringgold, GA, Lee Meshew (Jed) of Savannah, GA, and Lori Neal (Duane) of Chattanooga, TN, and sons Brainard III of Columbia, SC, and Christopher (Kay) of Ooltewah, TN, as well as nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
