It’s been quiet at Red and Kitty Forman’s house since That ‘70s Show wrapped in 2006. But the characters played by Kurtwood Smith, '9, and Debra Jo Rupp, 71, are about to get a wake-up call when a new generation of teens starts to hang out in their basement in That ‘90s Show, including their granddaughter Leia (Callie
Haverda), the daughter of Eric (Topher Grace) and Donna (Laura Prepon). That ‘90s Show
will also catch up with Fez (Wilmer Valderrama), who’s managing a hair salon and Kelso (Ashton Kutcher) and Jackie (Mila Kunis), who are living the corporate life. But first, Parade takes a look at what the former cast members have been doing in real life.
Since exiting That ‘70s Show, TOPHER GRACE, 44, has gone for more grown-up roles, including Venom in Spider-Man 3 and the former Grand Wizard of the Klu Klux Klan, David Duke, in the Oscar-nominated film BlacKkKlansman. But he’s back making people laugh on the ABC family comedy Home Economics, now in its third season. “The character is going through something very similar to what I’m going through,” Grace said. “I understood that underwater feeling when the kids are really young, and you’re trying to live out creative passions.”
LAURA PREPON, 42, may have become famous on That ‘70s Show, but when she joined the cast of Orange is the New Black in 2013 as Alex Vause, her fame shot to a whole new level; she won two SAG Awards for Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
ASHTON KUTCHER, 44, followed up his performance as Kelso with Two and a Half Men and The Ranch, but many fans were most excited when Kutcher and Kunis tied the knot in July 2015. The couple have two children. Not just an actor, Kutcher famously turned $30 million into $250 million by investing in several funds that backed technology startups. “I really think that technology has the greatest potential to accelerate happiness of most things in the world,” said Kutcher.
MILA KUNIS, 39, earned a Golden Globe for her supporting role in Black Swan and hit box office gold with Bad Moms and its sequel. In 2022, she and Kutchner began fundraising to provide aid to refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine, her native country. To date, their Stand With Ukraine GoFundMe has raised more than $3' million.
WILMER VALDERRAMA, 42, has most recently found a series home on CBS’ NCIS, as Special Agent Nicholas “Nick” Torres (since 2016).
Valderrama also is masking up for a passion project— an updated version of a series he loved as a kid—when he’ll play one of pop culture’s most legendary vigilantes, Zorro, for Disney.
“Growing up, Zorro was the one character that made me, as a Latino, feel like I could be a hero,” said Valderrama, who will also serve as an executive producer.
