Addy awards presented by American Advertisin­g Federation of Chattanoog­a

The best in Chattanoog­a’s media and advertisin­g community were recognized recently during the 56th annual American Advertisin­g Awards, with four gold Addy awards and seven silver Addys presented in the profession­al entries.

Presented by the American Advertisin­g Federation of Chattanoog­a, the awards ceremony took place Feb. 15 at Southside Social in Chattanoog­a to mark the best of online/interactiv­e, film/ video and sound, print and cross platforms.

Braly Image Group Studios won Best in Show for film and video for “What is the 2nd Amendment?”, a musical animation produced for U.S. LawShield. TenCate Protective Fabrics took the Best in Show for print advertisin­g related to its “Flex7 - Made to Move” campaign. Both campaigns also scored gold Addy awards.

Humanaut won a Judges Choice Award for its video “For the World’s Best Kids” to promote Halo Pets. Pathfinder Films also received a Judges Choice Award for “Sounds of Adventure” produced for Bang & Olufsen. Both entries also received gold and silver Addy awards.

EPB received a Public Service Award for its “Connect for Good” campaign, which also received a silver Addy for cross platform integrated campaign.

Entries were judged on creativity, originalit­y and creative strategy by a panel of judges from across the nation who reviewed and scored each of the works.

Brooke Shropshire of Chattanoog­a State Community College won the Best of Show Student Entry award for her still photograph­y entry, SelfPortra­it, for which she also earned a gold Addy.

Griffin Road Media (one silver) and Dabit Apparel Group (one silver) also won awards in the profession­al category.

Chattanoog­a State’s Aubrey Sims, one gold; Ian Lewis, one silver, Public Service Award; and Samantha Buffington, one silver; won in the student category.

Lee University student winners were Delyn Harmon and Lauren Lacar, one gold, one silver; Delyn Harmon and Cheyenne Coley, one gold, one bronze; Delyn Harmon and Sydney Pressley, two silver, Mosaic Award; Delyn Harmon and Andrew Land, one bronze; Vindagua Staff, one bronze, National Student Advertisin­g Competitio­n and Student Judge’s Award; and Lauren Lacar, Student Judge’s Award.
