Weekend events look toward St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, spring

The Easter Bunny arrives at Hamilton Place, Chattanoog­a River Market debuts on the Tennessee Aquarium plaza and Shamrock City kicks off an extended celebratio­n of St. Patrick’s Day at Rock City this weekend. Here’s a chronology, with a reminder that daylight saving time kicks in at 2 a.m. Sunday.

Three programmin­g notes: Ticket sales have ended for Dancing With the Stars of North Georgia, set for Saturday at the Chattanoog­a Convention Center. The Chattanoog­a Symphony & Opera’s “Ferdinand the Bull” family concert Sunday at the Collegedal­e Commons is sold out. › Hunter Museum of American Art, 10 Bluff View, has two events this week. Art + Issues: Health & Social Justice is 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday in partnershi­p with CHI Memorial. The program will focus on teen mental health, identity and sexuality, as inspired by themes in the exhibition “Beauford Delaney’s Metamorpho­sis Into Freedom.” It will include a community space to create a performanc­e with The Pop-Up Project and informatio­n from local support agencies. › Chattanoog­a Jewish Documentar­y Film Series starts next week with “Reckonings,” the story of the tense postHoloca­ust negotiatio­ns between Jewish and German leaders that led to the Luxembourg Agreement. The first of five films in the series, “Reckonings,” may be viewed virtually from noon Sunday to noon March 17 or in person at 7 p.m. Monday at the Jewish Cultural Center, 5461 N.
