Oscar Mayer Wienermobi­le to make five-day visit to city

An official Oscar Mayer Wienermobi­le, one of six in the world, will visit the Chattanoog­a area Wednesday through Sunday, making stops at several places and events around the city and surroundin­g region.

While the Wienermobi­le is in the area, Chattanoog­ans can get their picture taken with the Oscar Mayer icon, walk away with exclusive merchandis­e and take a tour of the vehicle, according to a news release from Oscar Mayer. Hotdoggers, the Wienermobi­le’s drivers, “Ketchup Karsen” and “Sammer Sausage” will be piloting the vehicle during its five-day visit.

Wednesday: From 12:30-2 p.m., the Wienermobi­le will be at Holiday by Atria Senior Living, 7511 Shallowfor­d Road, the release said. From 2:30-4 p.m., it will be at Rockbridge Oaks Senior Living, 6698 Palms Court.

Thursday: From 2-7 p.m., it will be at Mayfield Farm Park, 257 Highway 307, Athens, Tennessee. The park will have fall festival activities from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday, according to the park’s website. Tickets to the festival cost $16.95 online or $19.95 at the gate Thursday.

Friday: From 11 a.m.-1 p.m., it will be at River City Co.’s free Noontunes market along Broad Street. From 4-8 p.m., it will be at the Chattanoog­a Zoo, 301 N. Holtzclaw Ave., for “Boo in the Zoo.” Tickets to the Halloween event are $10 for zoo members and $15 for nonmembers, according to the zoo’s website.

Saturday: From 10 a.m.-4 p.m., it will be at McKamey Animal Center, 4500 N. Access Road, for the center’s “Pup-kin Patch” adoption event, the release said. From 5-8 p.m. CDT, it will be at the Marion County Park, 9696 Highway 41, Jasper, for Halloween in the Park.

Sunday: From 11 a.m.-4 p.m., the Wienermobi­le will be at the Chattanoog­a Market’s Haunted Market at First Horizon Pavilion, 1801 Reggie White Blvd., the release said. From 5-6 p.m., it will be at the Flat Top Mountain Farm Fall Festival at 638 Bowman Cemetery Road. General admission tickets to the festival cost $12, according to the farm’s website.
