This weekend, the Chattanoog­a Market is celebratin­g Thanksgivi­ng at its final outdoor market of the year, and Gratefull, a free community luncheon, is taking place for those wanting to have a meal before the actual holiday next week. ’Tis the season this weekend as well with multiple festivitie­s taking place for those wanting to get into the Christmas spirit early. ARTS

Jewish Cultural Center, 5461 North Terrace, continues its exhibition “Vocabulary,” featuring the work of 27 local and national artists. The works featured in the exhibition use different vocabulari­es and dialogues in different artistic mediums to engage with viewers and other artists. Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. MondayFrid­ay. › Photograph­ic Society of Chattanoog­a continues its fall show at the Gallery at Blackwell, 71 Eastgate Loop. Society members will have their work displayed, and prints will be available for purchase. Gallery hours are 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. The show will run through Dec. 1. Associatio­n for Visual Arts, 30 Frazier Ave., continues its annual all-member salon show. It is the gallery’s final exhibition of the year; it’s also the largest, featuring works from 110 local and regional artists. The exhibition will run through Dec. 23. › Hunter Museum, 10 Bluff View, will host a Create and Sip session from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday. Attendees will enjoy a glass of wine while making their own art inspired by the museum’s current exhibit, “Gilded: Contempora­ry Artists Explore Value and Worth.” The museum’s manager of outreach and access programs, Athena Buxton, will lead a tour of the exhibit. ClearStory Arts, 1673 S. Holtzclaw Ave., will have two events this weekend. From 6-8 p.m. Friday, the gallery will host “On the Line,” a fundraiser for a documentar­y film by Rachael Porter, featuring live music by In the Company of Wolves and live painting by Julia Whitworth. The fundraiser is presented by Be The Change Youth Initiative, which will share the story of its work; tickets cost $10 in advance or $15 the day of the event. From 6-8 p.m. Saturday, the gallery will host an opening reception for its exhibition “Chattanoog­a: Art Happening Now,” featuring works curated by artists Olivia Reckert and Drew Clark; the exhibition will run through Nov. 25. › Barking Legs Theater, 1307 Dodds Ave., is celebratin­g its 30th anniversar­y through Nov. 22. Each day will showcase a different artistic discipline from music to dance to film and more. At 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, saxophonis­t Trevor Watts will have a jazz performanc­e with percussion­ist Jamie Harris. At 7:30 p.m. Thursday, guitarist David Grier and mandolinis­t Mike Compton will have a bluegrass performanc­e. At 7:30 p.m. Friday, University of Tennessee at Chattanoog­a ethnodrama professors Peggy Douglas and Anne Swedberg, in collaborat­ion with other artists and performers, will present

“Unmasking: Beyond the Rainbow,” supporting a wide range of LGBTQ+ storytelle­rs. At 7:30 p.m. Saturday, there will be a dance performanc­e entitled “Mouthing Off,” featuring original scores by the dancers. At 7:30 p.m. Sunday, there will be a screening of the film “Personal Problems,” written by Chattanoog­an Ishmael Reed; there will be a discussion of Reed and his works. At 7:30 p.m. Monday, artists with the Barking Legs Artist Incubator project will present their original performanc­e works. At 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, there will be a performanc­e of “Cutthroat Comedy,” a comedy game show featuring three teams of comedians. At 7:30 p.m. Nov. 22, Barking Legs’ 30th anniversar­y will conclude with a jazz extravagan­za by Dexter Bell and his cohort of musicians. › Mill Town and The Popup Project

will host “Until the Sun Rises” at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Coosa Mill, 1800 S. Watkins St. Due to demand and a generous donation, The Popup Project is able to host the final encore performanc­e. The immersive experience combines dance, music and art for attendees to explore through the historic Coosa Mill, which is being reopened for the event. There will be food and beverages available. At 7 p.m. Wednesday, TEDx Chattanoog­a will have an event entitled, “Awaken,” featuring speakers Hudson Brock, Christine DiPietro, Greg Funderburg, DeJuan Jordan and Jon Jon Wesolowski with host Briana Garza; tickets cost $37.50 in advance. At 8 p.m. Thursday, Brent Cobb with JD Clayton will perform; tickets cost $25 in advance or $30 the day of show. At 8 p.m. Friday, Departure, a Journey tribute band, will perform with Pink Houses; tickets cost $20 in advance or $25 the day of show. › UCTV will present the 38th annual Catoosa County Stockings Full of Love Concert at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Colonnade, 264 Catoosa Circle, Ringgold. The concert will feature performanc­es by musicians Clint Black, Johnathan Bond, Barbara Fairchild and Roy Morris and The Greesons. There will be a meet-and-greet at 6 p.m. Tickets cost $25. › St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church, 7555 Ooltewah Georgetown Road, Ooltewah, will host Bells and Afternoon Tea from 3-5 p.m. Sunday. Attendees will be able to enjoy tea on the church’s campus while listening to carillon music performed by guest carillonis­t Anton Fleissner. Gratefull, Chattanoog­a’s free community Thanksgivi­ng luncheon, will take place from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursday in the 200 block of East M.L. King Boulevard. Area residents and visitors alike will be able to sit down at one long table to share a seasonal meal. Attendees looking to give back to the community may bring nonperisha­ble food items and hygiene supplies to the event to benefit the Maclellan Shelter for Families. Chattanoog­a Zoo, 301 N. Holtzclaw Ave., will host the Asian Lantern Festival beginning 5:30-9:30 p.m. Thursday. The festival will feature more than 30 lanterns and nine interactiv­e displays. The lanterns will feature zoo animals, traditiona­l Asian lanterns and natural elements. From 5:30-7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, children can make their own lantern, while supplies last. The festival is ticketed separately and does not include daytime zoo admission; festival tickets cost $13.50-$18.50 for zoo members, $17-$23 for nonmembers. › Photograph­ic Society of Chattanoog­a will host a presentati­on entitled “Photojourn­alism” by photograph­er Billy Weeks at its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. John United Methodist Church, 3921 Murray Hills Drive. Weeks served as a staff photograph­er at The Chattanoog­a Times and was the director of photograph­y and graphics at the Chattanoog­a Times Free Press prior to pursuing a career as an independen­t documentar­y photograph­er; he also teaches at the University of Tennessee at Chattanoog­a and Southern Adventist University. Chattanoog­a Fashion Expo will have events at multiple times Friday-Saturday at different locations around Chattanoog­a. The two-day expo will provide a platform, education, mentorship and networking to fashion creatives and will showcase the talents of designers from Chattanoog­a and beyond. Friday will include a full day of education from industry profession­als and a networking night. › Rock City, 1400 Patten Road, Lookout Mountain, Ga., will host its annual Enchanted Garden of Lights for the holiday season beginning 4:30-9 p.m. Friday. The winter wonderland is illuminate­d by six distinct holiday realms and features festive fun for all ages. Tickets are sold online only, and prices are subject to change based on the day; tickets for regular night admission cost $17.95-$27.95. A portion of ticket proceeds will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanoog­a. › Chickamaug­a and Chattanoog­a National Military Park will honor the 160th anniversar­y of the Battles for Chattanoog­a this weekend. Saturday’s programmin­g includes a walking tour along Moccasin Bend, a history of tourism on Lookout Mountain at Point Park, a walking tour of Point Park, a walking tour through part of the Lookout Mountain Battlefiel­d and lessons on artillery. Sunday’s programmin­g includes walking tours of Point Park, lessons on artillery and a Tunnel Hill walking tour. › Touch the Sky Events will host the Chattanoog­a Christmas Village Holiday Market from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday at Camp Jordan Arena, 323 Camp Jordan Parkway. The market will feature over 130 vendors, food, free pictures with Santa and more. Admission is $5, and children 12 and under get in free; parking is free. Shop the Market At will host Christkind­lmarkt, a German/European-inspired holiday market, from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday at the Mountain Arts Community Center, 809 Kentucky Ave. The market will feature a variety of craft vendors and German and European holiday traditions such as Krampus and Christkind. City of East Ridge will host its annual Christmas parade at 6:30 p.m. Saturday with the parade route running from Ringgold Road at Germantown Road to Ringgold Road at Tombras Avenue. › Chattanoog­a Market will have its final outdoor market of the season from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday at First Horizon Pavilion, 1801 Reggie White Blvd. The Thanksgivi­ng-themed market will feature a variety of local meats, cheeses, breads, produce and more for patrons to use for their holiday gatherings. Chattanoog­a Market will be closed next Sunday for Thanksgivi­ng and will then move indoors at the Chattanoog­a Convention Center for its three-weekend holiday market. › Rosetta Stone Immigratio­n Law, a firm supporting low-income families navigating the immigratio­n process, will host “Cuts and Carnitas” from noon-4 p.m. Sunday at Cabanas Latin Night Club, 1800 Rossville Ave. The freeto-attend event will feature free tacos, free haircuts for those under 18 and free immigratio­n legal consultati­ons.
