Environmental Solutions Group makes $5,000 gift to CADAS
Environmental Solutions Group recently donated $5,000 to support the mission of the Council for Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services (CADAS), the area’s only nonprofit addiction recovery facility.
“ESG is fully committed to being an active member of the Chattanooga landscape and supporting organizations who work tirelessly to create better futures for our neighbors. CADAS holds true to our values,” Pat Carroll, president of ESG, said in a news release. “At ESG, we demonstrate our mission by supporting causes that foster hope.”
CADAS is committed to removing barriers to recovery, breaking the bonds of addiction to alcohol and other drugs, educating addicts about their disease, and supporting and encouraging recovery. Treatment addresses the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual components of the addict’s life, and additionally, provides an outreach to families impacted by the disease, according to the news release.
ESG, an equipment group serving the solid waste and recycling industry, organizes and participates in monthly events, encouraging a healthy lifestyle and sense of fulfillment through involvement with volunteer activities, such as a seminar by Thad Oliver at CADAS. This event was the most attended to date and had a profound impact on ESG employees, the news release stated. Recognizing the devastating impact of substance abuse, as well as seeing first-hand how CADAS uses its resources to provide supportive, successful avenues toward addiction recovery, prompted ESG to support the organization financially, according to the release.
In 2023, ESG donated more than $50,000 to Chattanooga area nonprofits, further assisting organizations which share its mission of improving lives in the local community.
