Oilers’ Green among NHL players to opt out
The Oilers’ Mike Green won’t play in the qualifying-round series against the Blackhawks after opting out of the NHL season restart because of uncertainties about the corononavirus. After a trade from the Red Wings, the defenseman played two games for the Oilers before injuring his right knee. Green on Saturday joined the Bruins’ Steven Kampfer, the Canucks’ Sven Baertschi,
the Stars’ Roman Polak and the Canadiens’ Karl Alzner who won’t be reporting to training camp for the resumption of the season.
The NHL has prohibited teams from releasing coronavirus test results and injury information during its season restart this summer.
NFL League, players to talk terms Monday
The NFL and NFLPA reportedly are expected to meet Monday in hopes of agreeing to terms on a return to work.

Scott Dixon raced to his third consecutive victory with an improbable triumph in the opener of a weekend doubleheader at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, as IndyCar welcomed fans to its races for the first time this season.
Dixon was a season-low ninth in qualifying and well off the lead pack for the first half of the race, but he took the lead for good shortly after a caution flag and beat Will Power by 2.5386 seconds.
