Giants Jones, Barkley seen maskless at bar

-

The Giants say they are aware of a video that shows quarterback Daniel Jones and injured running back Saquon Barkley maskless and not practicing social distancing at a bar Friday, leading to speculation they had violated the NFL’s coronavirus protocols. The video was posted on Instagram but since has been taken down.

“We are looking into the nature and context of what is on the video,” the Giants said in a statement.

Jones and Barkley had been out with teammates for dinner in a private room before visiting the bar, which is closed to the public. Jones and Barkley could face discipline from the Giants, the NFL or both.

4 Raiders O- linemen can play

The Raiders activated starting offensive linemen Kolton Miller, Denzelle Good, Rodney Hudson and Gabe Jackson from the COVID- 19 list after they tested negative for the coronavirus. They were put on the list Thursday because they had “high risk” contact Monday with fellow starter Trent Brown before he tested positive for the virus.

The four tested negative every day since their last contact with Brown and can play Sunday against the Buccaneers if they pass one more test before the game. Safety Johnathan Abram remains on the list because his last contact with Brown was Tuesday.

Bills TE Knox tests positive

Bills tight end Dawson Knox tested positive for the coronavirus and will miss Sunday’s road game against the Jets.

The team put him on the reserve/ COVID- 19 list Saturday along with three players in close contact with Knox — tight ends Lee Smith, Tommy Sweeney ( on the physically unable- to- preform list) and Nate Becker ( on the practice squad). They also will miss the game.

The Bills have two tight ends left on the roster — Tyler Kroft and Reggie Gilliam.

WR Mims set to make Jets debut

Jets rookie wide receiver Denzel Mims is on track to make his NFL debut Sunday against the Bills after being activated from injured reserve. The second- round pick from Baylor had been sidelined since training camp with hamstring injuries.

The Jets were hoping to have their projected starting wide receivers on the field for the first time this season, but leading receiver Jamison Crowder was downgraded to doubtful with a groin injury.

Packers LT Bakhtiari ruled out

Packers left tackle David Bakhtiari won’t play Sunday against the Texans because of a chest injury suffered last week in the loss to the Buccaneers. Coach Matt LaFleur hadn’t revealed this week how the team might shuffle the offensive line if Bakhtiari couldn’t play. Rick Wagner replaced Bakhtiari against the Buccaneers.
