Former Sox left-hander Carlos Rodon pitched a three-hit complete game, striking out 12 and retiring 22 of the last 23 batters he faced, to lead the visiting Giants past the Padres 3-1.

All three hits Rodon allowed came in the second. The only baserunner he yielded after that came on a two-out walk to Luke Voit in the ninth. He then struck out Jorge Alfaro to end the game.
