Henry Farmer Jr., 73, of Aurora, passed away January 23, 2023. He was born April 19, 1949 in Chicago, son of the late Henry Sr. and Rosie Farmer.

Henry was an air traffic controller for 34 years 7 months at the Aurora Air Traffic Control Center. In his later years he became a numismatis­t (collector of money). He enjoyed playing chess, was a fancy car and stereo enthusiast, avid walker as well as Jazzercise aficionado. Henry was also a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Iota Gamma Chapter.

But most of all Henry was very dedicated to his wife, Ayn and his family. He will be deeply missed and his legacy will live on.

Henry is survived by his wife, Ayn Farmer; children, Dr. Keisha Jo (Chris) Farmer-Moore, Henry Jared (Kayla) Farmer, and Morgan Farmer; grandchild­ren, Khalil Smith, Jared Edward Farmer, Jalen Elijah Farmer, John Kaleb Smith and Jorden Ayn Shores; sisters, Annie Joyce Simmons and Dr. Dolores Freeman; furry companion, Maximillan as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Henry was preceded in death by his sisters, Shirley Lenore and Sherry Rose Harris, his nephew, Antonio Farmer and his furry companions, Heathen, Ebony and Quake

A Celebratio­n of Life will be held on April 1, 2023 at a time and place to be announced at a later date.
