Vaclav Sr., Daniel

Age 85, of Manteno, IL, United States Marine Veteran at rest Saturday, September 14, 2013 at home with his family. Born July 20, 1928 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Anna and Jacob Vaclav.

Beloved husband of Caroline for 53 years. Loved and honored father of Daniel (Pamela) Vaclav, Jr. and David (Doris) Vaclav. Devoted and cherished grandfather of Vanessa, Jessica and David Vaclav, Jr. Dear brother of the late Frank, Edward, Jacob Vaclav and Marie Daley.

Daniel was the proprietor of Daniels Printing & Office Supply in Oak Forest, IL. He was an avid member of the Knights of Columbus Father CC Boyle #4698, American Legion Manteno Post 0755, Lion’s Club of IL and Marine Detachment of Kankakee #1253 Corps League; was an active participant in many charities, 5K Walk/Runs and enjoyed golf and hunting with his sons.

Funeral Thursday, September 19, 2013, 9:15 am from the McKenzie Funeral Home, 15618 S. Cicero Ave., Oak Forest to St. Damian Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 4 to 9 pm.
