Wilson’s 5 TD passes fuel Seahawks’ victory

-

Russell Wilson threw for 345 yards and a career-high five touchdowns to lead the host Seattle Seahawks to a 39-30 victory Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Wilson connected on touchdown passes of 16 yards to Doug Baldwin and 12 yards to Jermaine Kearse in the second quarter and on a nine-yarder to Kearse and 30- and 80-yarders to Baldwin in the fourth for the Seahawks (6-5), who won despite losing Jimmy Graham for the season to a torn patellar tendon and allowing 538 yards.

Ben Roethlisberger threw for 456 yards — the most ever against the Seahawks — and a touchdown for the Steelers (6-5), but he was intercepted twice and was pulled from the game with two minutes left and taken to the locker room to be tested for a concussion.

The Seahawks also intercepted backup Landry Jones twice in the last two minutes to seal the victory.

Redskins 20, Giants 14

Kirk Cousins threw a 63-yard touchdown pass to DeSean Jackson and scored on a quarterback sneak, and the Washington Redskins intercepted Eli Manning three times on their way to defeating the visiting New York Giants and pulling into a tie for first place in the NFC East.

The Redskins and Giants are 5-6. The Philadelphia Eagles (4-7) and Dallas Cowboys (3-8) are the other members of the mediocre division.

It was the 20th time in his career Manning was intercepted three times or more in a game.

Cardinals 19, 49ers 13

Carson Palmer scrambled for an eight-yard touchdown with 2:28 left, and the Arizona Cardinals (9-2) extended their winning streak to five games by slipping past the host San Francisco 49ers (3-8). It was the Cardinals’ first road victory against the 49ers since 2008.

David Johnson added a one-yard touchdown run for the Cardinals, who are 9-2 after 11 games for only the fifth time in franchise history. Blaine Gabbert threw for 318 yards and a touchdown with one interception for the 49ers, who aided the Cardinals’ cause with 13 penalties.

Bengals 31, Rams 7

Andy Dalton threw for 233 yards and three touchdowns, including two to A.J. Green, and the Cincinnati Bengals (9-2) ended a twogame skid with a victory against the visiting St. Louis Rams (4-7).

After losing back-to-back games in prime time, the Bengals got back in sync against the Rams, who lost their fourth game in a row. Nick Foles returned as the Rams’ quarterback in place of Case Keenum (concussion) and threw three interceptions, including one that was returned for a touchdown.

Jets 38, Dolphins 20

Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 277 yards and four touchdowns, including two to former Bears receiver Brandon Marshall, and the host New York Jets (6-5) opened a 21-0 lead before coasting past the Miami Dolphins (4-7).

Ryan Tannehill passed for 351 yards and three touchdowns for the Dolphins, who have lost four of their last five games.

Chiefs 30, Bills 22

Alex Smith threw for 255 yards and two touchdowns, Spencer Ware ran for 114 yards and another score and the Kansas City Chiefs (6-5) extended their winning streak to five games by defeating the visiting Buffalo Bills (5-6).
