MAN CLAIMING TO BE ARMED ROBS BANK

Aman who claimed to be armed robbed a bank Friday morning in north suburban Skokie.

The robbery occurred at 10: 07 a. m. at the Albany Bank& Trust branch at 7515 N. Skokie Blvd., according to the FBI. The incident was described as a “non- takeover” robbery, but the robber did make threats that he had a weapon.

The suspect is described as a white man 45- 50, Skokie police said. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, black baseball cap and maroon sweatpants.

He was last seen heading away from the bank on foot, authoritie­s said. No one was injured.
