Seton Hall eases past DePaul

Isaiah Whitehead made 10 of 15 shots — including six three-pointers — on his way to a career-high 33 points, and Seton Hall wrapped up the Big East regular season with an 80-66 victory Saturday against DePaul at Allstate Arena.

Whitehead, who scored 25 of his points in the second half, was 6-for-10 from behind the arc and also had five rebounds and five assists. Khadeen Carrington added 17 points and Desi Rodriguez 11 for the Pirates (22-8, 12-6), who shot 55 percent.

Billy Garrett scored 18 points and Myke Henry 15 for the Blue Demons (9-21, 3-15).

Wright State 74, UIC 43

JT Yoho scored 15 points and Daniel Mortensen 14, and the third-seeded Raiders (20-12) made 14 three-pointers en route to trouncing the 10th-seeded Flames (5-25) in the first round of the Horizon League tournament in Detroit.

Dikembe Dixson scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for UIC, which shot only 22 percent in the first half and trailed 34-17 at the break.

North Carolina 76, Duke 72

Brice Johnson led five players in double figures with 18 points and grabbed 21 rebounds, and the No. 8 Tar Heels (25-6, 14-4) used whopping advantages of 64-29 on the boards and 42-20 in points in the paint to defeat the No. 17 Blue Devils (22-9, 11-7) in an Atlantic Coast Conference showdown in Durham, North Carolina. Grayson Allen led Duke with 29 points.

Kansas 85, Iowa State 78

Perry Ellis scored 22 points, and the No. 1 Jayhawks (27-4, 15-3) used a late 11-0 run to turn a threepoint deficit into an eight-point lead on their way to a Big 12 victory against the No. 21 Cyclones (21-10, 10-8) in Lawrence, Kansas. Kansas has won 42 consecutiv­e home games, the longest streak in the country.

Justin Bibbs scored 19 points on 7-for-10 shooting, including five three-pointers, fuel the Hokies (18-13, 10-8) to an Atlantic Coast Conference upset of the No. 7 Hurricanes (24-6, 13-5) in Blacksburg, Virginia. Virginia Tech closed the regular season with its fifth consecutiv­e victory.

Virginia 68, Louisville 46

Malcolm Brogdon scored 17 points, Mike Tobey added 15 points and 20 rebounds and the No. 4 Cavaliers (24-6, 13-5) held the No. 11 Cardinals (23-8, 12-6) to 28 percent shooting in an easy Atlan- tic Coast Conference victory in Charlottes­ville, Virginia.

Zach Auguste scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, Matt Ryan added a career-high 17 points and the Irish (20-10, 11-7) concluded the Atlantic Coast Conference regular season by thumping the Wolfpack (15-16, 5-13) in South Bend, Indiana.

Missouri-Kansas City 82, Chicago State 53

LaVell Boyd scored 26 points, and the Kangaroos (11-18, 4-10) made a season-high 13 three-pointers on their way to a Western Athletic Conference rout of the host Cougars (4-27, 0-14). Fred Sims was the lone player in double figures for Chicago State with 11 points.
