Elliott named in domestic incident

The NFL says it is reviewing domestic- violence allegation­s against Cowboys rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott, the fourth overall draft pick from Ohio State.

A police report says Elliott denied allegation­s that he assaulted his girlfriend early Friday in Columbus, Ohio, causing bruises and abrasions. The report says he wasn’t arrested because of conflictin­g versions of what happened. Three witnesses told police they didn’t see Elliott assault the 20- year- old woman. Elliott said the woman got the bruises and abrasions in a bar fight.

The alleged victim posted photos showing bruises on her Instagram account and made a 911 call.

The player’s father, Stacy Elliott, said in a statement that the claims are “completely false” and that his son has cooperated with the investigat­ion.

Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell is facing a fourgame suspension for missing a drug test, according to ESPN.

Ryne Sandberg and Carlton Fisk highlight the list of 2016 inductees into the Chicagolan­d Sports Hall of Fame. An induction ceremony will take place Sept. 7 at McCormick Place.
