• Hales Franciscan High School, a Catholic school on the South Side, is closing for the 2016-17 school year to raise money and adjust its curriculum in order to reopen the following year.

• 37 students were enrolled at the school last year, and almost all of them received financial aid to cover the school’s $7,500 tuition.
