Amazon plans shipping center in suburbs

Amazon.com Inc. is planning to open a new 750,000 square-foot packaging and shipping center in Romeoville.

Employees at the facility will pick, pack and ship large items, such as big-screen televisions, sports equipment or kayaks.

The company is currently hiring for associate-level roles at the Romeoville fulfillment center.
