T- MOBILE OWES $ 48M OVER UNLIMITED DATA PLANS

T- Mobile will pay $ 48 million as part of a settlement over inadequate disclosure of restrictions on its unlimited data plans, such as slower data speeds if consumers used more than 17 gigabytes a month. The company will pay a $ 7.5 million fine and $ 35.5 million to T- Mobile and Metro PCS customers. And $ 5 million is to go to Internet access for the poor.
