Rhule named coach at Baylor

Baylor hired Temple’s Matt Rhule to be its coach after Jim Grobe guided the school to a 6- 6 record and a berth in the Cactus Bowl in an interim season. Rhule compiled a 28- 23 record in four seasons with the Owls, including a 10- 3 mark this season.

Rhule becomes the full- time replacement for Art Briles, who was dismissed in May after a scathing probe into Baylor’s handling of sexual- assault complaints, including some against football players.
