After Thursday’s trailer for Hulu’s adaptation of ‘ The Handmaid’s Tale’ sparked criticism that the story is antiTrump propaganda, author Margaret Atwood issued a five- word response via Twitter: “Sigh. First published in 1985.” The TV series, starring Elisabeth Moss as a woman forced to bear children, was also in the works before the election.
