BURGLARY SUSPECT FOUND HIDING UNDER THE BED
A burglary suspect was arrested Thursday when authorities found him hiding under a bed in his north suburban home.
Members of the Lake County Sheriff’ s Warrants Team and the U.S. Marsh al Service arrested 19- year- old Pedro Lara at his home in unincorporated W auk egan, according to the sheriff’s office. They found him hiding in the basement, covered in clothing under a bed.
Lara was wanted on a $ 75,000 arrest warrant charging burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property in Gurnee, the sheriff’s office said. There was also an active, no- bond warrant for his arrest for a parole violation from the Illinois Department of Corrections.

FBI: TCF bank robber strikes again in Lake View
Aman suspected in two other North Side bank robberies is believed to have struck again on Friday in the Lake View neighborhood.
The non- takeover robbery happened at a TCF Bank branch inside a Jewel-Osco grocery store at 3531 N. Broadway Ave., the FBI said. No weapon was shown.
The suspect was described as a white male with a blond beard, 25 to 35 years old, 6- feet- tall and 180 to 200 pounds, the FBI said. He wore a gray sweatshirt and khaki pants.
The same man is believed to be responsible for TCF branch robberies at 6: 17 p. m. March 24 at 4355 N. Sheridan in Uptown and about noon March 30 at 2940 N. Ashland in Lake View, the FBI said.
Anyone with information was asked to call the FBI at ( 312) 421- 6700. A reward was offered.

3 hurt in Ford rollover crash
Three people were injured in a rollover crash Friday on the Bishop Ford Freeway on the Far South Side.
The rollover crash happened about 6: 30 p. m. in the outbound lanes of Interstate 94 at 111th Street, according to Illinois State Police and Fire Media Affairs.
The crash involved a 2007 Ford truck and a Cadillac SUV, ISP said. Which vehicle rolled over was not immediately available.
Amale of unknown age was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and two other people were taken to Roseland Community Hospital, ISP said. All were treated for injuries that weren’t lifethreatening.

Man shot in Lawndale
A 32- year- old man was shot multiple times Friday evening in the Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side.
About 7: 45 p. m., someone walked up to theman in the 1600 block of South St. Louis Avenue and shot him in the wrist and buttocks, according to Chicago Police.
He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.
