Cespedes injured in Mets’ sixth consecutiv­e loss

Yoenis Cespedes suffered a left hamstring strain, Matt Harvey was chased in the fifth inning as he made an emergency start in place of ailing Noah Syndergaar­d, and the Mets’ losing streak reached six with a 7- 5 defeat to the visiting Braves.

Masahiro Tanaka pitched a three- hitter to outduel Chris Sale, and the Yankees beat the Red Sox 3- 0 for their fifth straight victory over the rival Red Sox. Sale ( 1- 2) allowed two earned runs and eight hits in eight innings, striking out 10 and walking none.

Diamondbac­ks right- hander Shelby Miller has a partial tear of his ulnar collateral ligament and is evaluating whether to have Tommy John surgery. Miller was transferre­d to the 60- day disabled list.
