Cespedes injured in Mets’ sixth consecutive loss

Yoenis Cespedes suffered a left hamstring strain, Matt Harvey was chased in the fifth inning as he made an emergency start in place of ailing Noah Syndergaard, and the Mets’ losing streak reached six with a 7- 5 defeat to the visiting Braves.

Masahiro Tanaka pitched a three- hitter to outduel Chris Sale, and the Yankees beat the Red Sox 3- 0 for their fifth straight victory over the rival Red Sox. Sale ( 1- 2) allowed two earned runs and eight hits in eight innings, striking out 10 and walking none.
