Setlak, Bob

Age 77, of Crown Point, IN, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017. Bob is survived by his wife: Erma; children: Lisa ( Joe) Roth, Daniel ( Ruth) Setlak, Robert ( Nancy) Setlak, Rachel ( Scott) Mejdrich, Lisa ( Ken) Tatina, Fred ( Patti) Seibel, and Linda Sturges; 7 grandchildren; 1 brother: Ken ( Lynn) Setlak; and 1 sister: Kathryn Setlak. He was preceded in death by his wife: Adrienne Setlak; and parents: Frank and Victoria Setlak. Bob was a member of First United Methodist Church of Crown Point, IN. He was retired from Crown Cork and Seal in Alsip, IL as a Metalurgical Engineer and belonged to the American Society of Testing and Materials. He was a graduate of the University of Illinois and tutored math at the Crown Point Adult Learning Center. Bob was active in The Friends of the Crown Point Library and was an avid runner for over 25 years. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave./ South St., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 3: 00 to 8: 00 PM. Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at First United Methodist Church, 352 S. Main St., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 9: 00 a. m. until the time of the Funeral Services at 10: 00 a. m. Pastor Tom Shanahan officiating.
