Hayward to join Celtics

-

Small forward Gordon Hayward will sign with the Celtics, choosing their offer over those from the Jazz, his team since 2010, and the Heat.

The 6- 8 small forward reportedly agreed to a fouryear, $ 128 million deal.

The 27- year- old will be reuniting with his college coach, Brad Stevens, who has been with the Celtics since the 2013- 14 season.

Hayward, 27, has improved his scoring average each year, topping out at 21.9 points per game last season, when he made his first All-Star appearance and led the Jazz to their first playoff appearance since 2012.

To create space for Hayward, the Celtics renounced restricted free agent Kelly Olynyk, allowing him to become an unrestricted free agent.

Kings add Hill, Randolph

The Kings agreed to a three- year, $ 57 million contract with point guard George Hill and a two- year, $ 24 million deal with forward Zach Randolph.

Hill averaged a careerhigh 16.9 points per game last season with the Jazz, helping them make the second round of the playoffs for the first time since 2010.

Randolph, who turns 36 later this month, averaged 14.1 points and 8.2 rebounds per game last season with the Grizzlies.

Clippers land Gallinari

A three- team sign- andtrade deal that will send free- agent forward Danilo Gallinari to the Clippers on a three- year, $ 65 million contract reportedly has been agreed to in principle.

The Hawks will receive Jamal Crawford, Diamond Stone, a 2018 first- round pick and cash from the Clippers. The Nuggets will receive the Hawks’ 2019 second- round pick via Washington.

This and that

Chris Bosh was waived by the Heat. It gives Miami access to $ 25.3 million in salarycap space for this coming season, which they will use to sign free agents.

Former Bulls point guard Derrick Rose will meet with the Clippers on Wednesday.

Forward Patrick Patterson agreed to a three- year, $ 16.4 million deal with the Thunder.

Timberwolves rookie center Justin Patton had surgery to repair a broken bone in his left foot and will be sidelined indefinitely.
