Heat bring back Waiters for $ 52M

Dion Waiters and the Heat reportedly agreed on a four- year deal worth a maximum of $ 52 million, provided all incentives are met.

Waiters averaged 15.8 points in 46 games last season for the Heat. He helped Miami turn its season around after an 11- 30 start. The team went 30- 11 in the second half.

The Heat were 27- 19 when Waiters played, 14- 22 when he did not.

He played for $ 2.9 million last season, saying he took a small deal to prove he was worthy of big dollars in the future.

Porter has offer from Nets

After his best season, Otto Porter Jr. reportedly agreed to sign a fouryear, $ 106 million offer sheet with the Nets. Under NBA rules, the Wizards have two days to match the offer because Porter is a restricted free agent. Multiple reports say the Wizards want to keep Porter.

Porter finished fourth in voting for Most Improved Player after averaging 13.4 points and shooting 43.4 percent from three- point range.

Comings and goings

The Warriors signed guard Nick Young to a one- year, $ 5.2 million deal and forward Omar Casspi to a one- year, $ 2.1 million deal.

The 32- year- old Young, who averaged 13.2 points last season, declined the player option for next season with the Lakers. It would have paid him $ 5.6 million.

Richard Jefferson, who had contemplat­ed retiring, said he will return to the Cavaliers. He has one guaranteed season left on his contract worth $ 2.5 million. He averaged 5.7 points and 2.6 rebounds in 79 games, serving mostly as a backup for LeBron James.

The Thunder reportedly resigned Andrew Roberson to a three- year, $ 30 million deal.
