2 STAB BED AT NORTHERLY ISLAND AT PUNK CONCERT; MAN IN CUSTODY

A man and woman were stabbed at a punk concert Tuesday night at Northerly Island.

A 34- year- old woman and a 29- year- old man got into an argument with another male about 9: 30 p. m. at a bar inside Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island, Chicago Police said.

The argument spilled into the venue, where the male pulled a knife and stabbed the man in the neck and face, police said. The woman suffered a cut to her abdomen. They were taken to North-western Memorial Hospital, where their conditions stabilized.

The male was taken into custody, and charges were pending, police said. A knife was recovered.

Fatal police shooting, manhunt snarls trains, Bishop Ford Expy.

A 17- year- old boy shot by a Dolton police officer during a pursuit of two carjacking suspects died Tuesday, according to authoritie­s.

It began about 2: 19 p. m. when Dolton police tried to stop a vehicle being sought in connection with a carjacking in Hazel Crest, according to Dolton police. The suspects — two 17- year- old boys— abandoned the vehicle near Interstate 94 and 130th Street after they struck a semi- tractor and police began a foot pursuit.

One of the boys pulled out a pistol andwas shot by a Dolton police officer, according to Dolton Police Chief Robert Collins Jr. He died at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

The second suspect was taken into custody about an hour later after being found hiding in brush about 300 yards away, Dolton police said.

Chicago Police said they assisted Dolton police with the investigat­ion in the 1300 block of East 130th Street.

All traffic on the inbound Ford was stopped about 3 p. m. at 130th Street. All lanes were back open by 8: 50 p. m.

Several South Shore Line trains were also stopped because of police activity near the Hegewisch station, 13730 S. Brainard Ave. All trains had resumed service as of about 4: 30 p. m. Jeff Mayes, Matthew Hendrickso­n

Man killed, 5women wounded in Bronzevill­e

Aman was killed and five women were wounded in a shooting Tuesday night in the South Side Bronzevill­e neighborho­od, police said.

The victims were standing on the sidewalk at 10: 37 p. m. in the first block of East 37th Street when a group of males walked up and fired shots from the corner of the block, according to Chicago Police.

A 28- year- old man was shot in the back and was pronounced dead at Northweste­rn Memorial Hospital, police said.

No one was in custody early Wednesday as Area Central detectives investigat­ed. Luke Wilusz
