Ap­pli­ca­tions for U. S. un­em­ploy­ment aid fell 15,000 last week to a sea­son­ally ad­justed 243,000. Ap­pli­ca­tions fell in Texas and Flor­ida, where Hur­ri­canes Har­vey and Irma in­flicted heavy dam­age in late Au­gust and Septem­ber.
