86, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2018, surrounded by family at Gottlieb Hospital. Jack was preceded in death by his wife Beverly ( nee Basso) on August 26, 1992. Son of the late Joseph and Irene Tierney of Chicago; siblings Joseph ( Jeanne) the late Raymond ( Irene), Irene ( Bob) McArdle and Marian ( Jim) Stockwell. Proud father of John F. ( Cheri), Michael ( Kathy), Marilyn ( Bill) Haugh, Patti ( Chuck) Addesso, and Brian ( Kathleen). Grandfathe­r of Colleen ( Matt) Scarola, Michael John ( Stephanie), Kevin ( Shelby), Caitlin ( Mathias) DeLacey, Shannon ( Marty) Teresi, Sean ( Laurel), Claire, Jackie Addesso, and Michael ( Debby) Robertson. He also was blessed with greatgrand­children, Benjamin, Olivia, Micaela, Reagan, Oliver, Lydia, Madelyn, Nora, Drew, and Dylan. Fond brother- in- lae of Joseph ( Jeanne) Basso, John ( Sharon) Basso and the late Carl ( Sylvia) Plumery. Love found him twice through his longtime partner, Christine Costanzo, and Dad “adopted” her family with love and care: sister Donna Pazzelli, sister- in- law Carole Wiegel, and Matthew and Melissa Wiegel. Devoted uncle and great- uncle of many. Sergeant in USMC and served during the Korean War. Longtime worker for the City of Chicago in Public Works as a hoisting engineer, Local 150, as were his father and brothers. Graduate of St. Ignatius High School, attended Lewis College before going into the Marines. Loyal Member of the Knights of Columbus. Loved Tuesday lunch "with the boys" at Doc Ryan’s. Galewood Chapels, 1857 N. Harlem Ave. from 3: 00 to 9: 00, funeral mass celebrated on Monday, January 15 at 10: 00 a. m. at St. Vincent Ferrer, 7600 W. North Avenue, River Forest. Interment private.
