Cats’ turnaround continues
Bryant McIntosh tied a season high with 24 points, and Northwestern beat No. 20 Michigan 61- 52 on Tuesday night at Allstate Arena.
McIntosh scored 14 points in the second half to help the Wildcats ( 15- 10, 6- 6 Big Ten) win for the fourth time in five games.
Scottie Lindsey added 19 points and seven rebounds, and Northwestern returned the favor after losing at Michigan last week.
Moe Wagner led the Wolverines ( 19- 7, 8- 5) with 20 points and nine rebounds. But Michigan was just 5- for- 20 from the field in the second half while missing 9 of 10 three- pointers.
McIntosh came up big forNorthwestern in the final nine minutes, starting with a three- pointer to make it 47- 41. McIntosh drove for a layup off a crossover to make it 5852 with 1: 25 left after a three- point play by Wagner, and the Wildcats hung on from there.

T. J. Gibbs scored 22 first- half points and finished with a careerhigh 28 as the Irish overcame a record- setting effort by the Eagles’ Jerome Robinson and ended their longest losing streak in nine years.
Robinson finished with 46 points, shattering the 40- year- old mark for an opponent at Purcell Pavilion.
Matt Farrell had 19 points and seven assists, and Martinas Geben added 16 points and 11 rebounds as the Fighting Irish ( 14- 10, 4- 7 ACC) ended a seven- game skid.
Michigan State 96, Iowa 93
Miles Bridges had 25 points and a crucial steal with five seconds left, and the No. 4 Spartans rallied for their seventh straight win.
Nick Ward added 17 points and Joshua Langford 15 for the visiting Spartans ( 23- 3, 11- 2 Big Ten), who got a serious scare from the Hawkeyes ( 12- 14, 3- 10).
After trailing by eight, Bridges hit a pair of free throws to give Michigan State a 92- 91 lead with 1: 02 left. He hit two more from the line to make it a three- point game.
Nebraska 91, Minnesota 85
Sophomore Isaiah Roby led a balanced attack with a career- high 21 points and eight rebounds for the visiting Cornhuskers.
James Palmer Jr. had 19 points and nine assists for the Cornhuskers ( 18- 8, 9- 4 Big Ten), who won for the sixth time in seven games.
Nate Mason had a career- high 34 points and added six assists for the Golden Gophers ( 14- 12, 3- 10).
Tennessee 61, Kentucky 59
Lamonte Turner scored 16 points, including a clutch three- pointer with 26 seconds left, Admiral Schofield followed with a dunk off a turnover and the No. 15 Volunteers won their sixth straight game.
The visiting Volunteers ( 18- 5, 8- 3 SEC) ran down the shot clock in the final minute before Turner fired from long range for the go- ahead basket in a tight game featuring 17 lead changes and 13 ties. TheNo. 24 Wildcats ( 17- 7, 6- 5) suffered their second consecutive loss.
