Eagles OC Reich to coach Colts
Five days after Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels reneged on a deal to become the Colts’ coach, Eagles offensive coordinator Frank Reich accepted the job Sunday.
Terms of the deal weren’t immediately available, but Reich — who helped come up with the game plan that enabled the Eagles to defeat the Patriots in the Super Bowl on Feb. 4 — is expected to be introduced at a news conference Tuesday.
Colts officials posted a photo of Reich signing the deal on their website. The move ends a search that spanned 41 days after ChuckPagano was fired and featured the embarrassment of McDaniels changing his mind Tuesday, eight hours after saying he would take the job.
Authorities said 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and possession of an assault rifle. Arrest records show he was booked at the Santa Clara ( California) County Jail, with bail set at $ 75,000.
The East Bay Times reported a woman told officers Foster assaulted her after an argument. Officers located the rifle while responding to the call.
