James, Cavaliers trounce Celtics

LeBron James scored 24 points, handed out 10 assists and grabbed eight rebounds, and the newlook Cavaliers won their third consecutiv­e game by walloping the host Celtics 121- 99 on a day the home team retired former star Paul Pierce’s No. 34 jersey.

Sidney Crosby scored two goals, including the 400th of his career, to lead the visiting Penguins to a 4- 1 victory against the Blues. Crosby became the 95th player in NHL history to reach the milestone and the 25th with 400 goals and more than 650 assists.

Alex Bowman, who replaced retired Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the No. 88 car for Hendrick Motorsport­s, won the pole for the Daytona 500 with a lap of 195.644 mph inDaytona Beach, Florida. Danica Patrick qualified 28th in what will be her last NASCAR race.
