Brown, William M.

-

March 28, 1947 - February 13, 2018

Billy Brown of Blue Island, IL was surrounded by his loving family when peacefully called home to Heaven on "Fat" Tuesday. Appropriate to happen on Mardi Gras, as he loved traveling, New Orleans being one of his favorites, spending time with his entire family. He continued to remain so strong during his battle of incurable cancer the last two years. "Look out, I’m the best there is" - he was right! Billy was the most handsome man, extremely generous, caring, loving, fun, kind, giving father and dear friend to all, his beautiful blue eyes and smile lit up the room and would melt your heart with happiness and joy. A one of a kind guy who made sure everyone had fun, laughing, dancing, singing, parties, enjoyed all sports, his favorites playing the horses and pool, gambling and good times. Most of all, he loved being with his family and pets and providing for all near him. To all who knew and loved Billy, he was a loving father, grandfather, brother, brother- in- law, uncle, friend, hardworking, the fastest painter on the south side of Chicago, strong, tough, helpful, caring, giving, independent, and made you smile the moment he walked in the room. His kids feel they were blessed with the best father and friend ever! “It is something unpredictable, but in the end if it’s right, I hope you had the time of your life." “Look out – he was the best there was.” The world as we know it will never be the same! Preceded in death by his parents, Violet S. and William G. Brown; grandparents; sister, Nancy Wapniarski; brothersin- law, James Wapnarski, and John Paul; life partner, Brenda Hettinger and many relatives and friends. Survived by son, Gregory A.
