The Aztecs have gotten hot at the right time with nine consecutive victories, including an impressive run through the MountainWest tournament. In nonconference play, a victory against Gonzaga was their highlight.

The Aggies have won 28 games this season, including an eye- opening victory at Miami, a No. 6 seed, during nonconference play in December.

The Bulls rolled through the Mid- American Conference and had close losses to several NCAA Tournament teams, including Cincinnati, St. Bonaventure, South Dakota State and Syracuse.
