Golden Knights top Jets to even series
Jonathan Marchessault scored twice and Marc- Andre Fleury stopped 30 shots to lift the Golden Knights to a 3- 1 victory over the Jets on Monday in Winnipeg, evening the Western Conference final at 1- 1.
“Every time we need a big game as a group, we show up,” Marchessault said. “Maybe we showed the hockey world we deserve to be here.”
Kyle Connor scored midway through the third period to pull the Jets within a goal. Marchessault restored the two- goal lead 1: 28 later.
Connor Hellebuyck made 25 saves for the Jets.

Goodrum hit a two- run shot in the fourth inning and a threerun homer in the eighth, and for the second consecutive day, the Tigers won despite fielding a patchwork lineup against a tough opposing pitcher.
Giants ace Madison Bumgarner threw off a mound for the first time since surgery in March to have three pins inserted into the broken pinkie on his pitching hand.
