11 shot, 3 fatally, within 3 hours Sundaymorn­ing

At least 11 people were shot during a three- hour span early Sunday.

Between 1 a. m. and 4 a. m., shootings across the South andWest sides claimed three lives, according to police. One shooting accounted for over half of the victims.

Six people were shot, one of them fatally, about 1: 10 a. m. in theWestWoo­dlawn neighborho­od where people were gathered in the 6400 block of South Eberhart, according to Chicago Police. They were taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where a 39- year- old man was pronounced dead.

Shortly after the shooting, police taped off the entire block of 6400 South Eberhart. Several cars on the street had bullet holes. One smelled strongly of leaking gasoline. Outside the emergency room of the hospital, a group of women walked outside.

“He didn’t make it,” screamed one of the women. “That’s bogus as hell. They won’t let me go and see my son again.”

The second fatal shooting happened about 3: 20 a. m. in Englewood. A 24- year- old man was outside in the 800 block ofWest 59th Street when someone in a passing car shot him multiple times, police said. The man died at University of Chicago Medical Center.

Another man was fatally shot about 1: 15 a. m. on the border of Back of the Yards and Englewood. The 29- year- old was sitting in a vehicle in the 1900 block ofWest Garfield Boulevard when someone walked up and shot him in the abdomen, according to police. 7 wounded, 1 critically, during shooting at child’s birthday party in Aurora

Seven people were wounded, one of them critically, when gunmen opened fire early Sunday at a child’s birthday party in west suburban Aurora.

Shortly after midnight, officers responded to a home in the 300 block ofWest Park Avenue and found six people suffering from gunshot wounds, according to Aurora police. A seventh person was driven to a hospital.

Several male shooters, who biked or walked to the home, opened fire during the party, police said. An attendee then returned fire, and the group took off. The shooting appears to have been gang- related, police said. Tom Schuba

Fan charged, accused of running ontoWrigle­y Field during game

A trip to the Friendly Confines turned into a felony charge for a Cubs fan Sunday after he allegedly ran onto the field during the game.

JosephW. Confer, 24, was charged with criminal trespass to a place of public amusement, according to Chicago police.

Confer, of southwest suburban Crest Hill, ran onto the field about 4: 20 p. m. in the middle of the game, police said. Wrigley security stopped him and handed him over to CPD. Nader Issa

12- year- old boy, 40- year- old man shot

A 12- year- old boy and a 40- year- old man were wounded in a shooting Sunday afternoon in the Fernwood neighborho­od.

About noon, they were in the 9900 block of South Perry when someone hopped out of a silver SUV and fired shots in their direction, according to Chicago Police.

The boy suffered a gunshot wound to the chest, while the man was struck in his knee, police said. They were both taken to Roseland Community Hospital, where their conditions stabilized. Tom Schuba

Toddler found roaming down street

Police were searching Sunday for the parents of a young girl who was found walking by herself Saturday night in northwest Indiana. About 9: 10 p. m., officers noticed the toddler walking in the 2900 block of CambridgeW­ay in Highland and were unable to locate her parents or anyone who recognized her, according to Highland police.
