GOP lawmaker who defeated Sanford in primary injured in car crash

CHARLESTON, S. C. — Republican South Carolina state Rep. Katie Arrington, who defeated U. S. Rep. Mark Sanford in the GOP primary, was seriously injured in a vehicle crash on Friday and will require more procedures, a spokesman said.
