Andrew Benintendi bolstered his All- Star credential­s with a pair of doubles and two RBI, and the Red Sox beat the Rangers 8- 4 to extend their winning streak to eight games.

With a walk in the third inning, Rangers outfielder ShinSoo Choo reached base in 48 consecutiv­e games, the longest streak in baseball this year. Choo, just named to his first All- Star Game, tied Joey Votto (48 straight in 2015) for the longest in the past 10 years; the previous longest streak was Kevin Millar with 52 consecutiv­e games in 2007 for the Orioles.

Jackie Bradley Jr. hit a pair of RBI doubles and Xander Bogaerts hit a two-run triple as the Red Sox scored five runs in the third and won for the 15th time in 18 games.

Reds rally with seven in ninth to beat Indians

Joey Votto hit a go-ahead three-run double during a seven-run ninth inning and the Indians bullpen wasted a gem from Trevor Bauer in a 7- 4 loss to the Reds.

Indians closer Cody Allen (2- 4) allowed six runs after getting two outs in the ninth, the last three charged on Votto’s sharp hit to right off Dan Otero.

Bauer was brilliant, striking out 12 over eight scoreless innings in his first appearance since being named to the All- Star team for the first time.

Yelich has four RBI as Brewers top Marlins

Christian Yelich had three hits and four RBI, and the Brewers won for the seventh time in nine games with a 8- 4 victory against the Marlins.

Jhoulys Chacin (8-3) allowed four runs and seven hits in 5⅔ innings. He struck out three and walked three.

Corbin Burnes pitched two perfect innings in his major-league debut for the save.

Machado hits two HRs, O’s rally past Yankees

Manny Machado hit two home runs, Jonathan Schoop singled in the winning run with two outs in the ninth inning, and the Orioles rallied past the Yankees 6-5.

Machado brought the Orioles back from deficits of 3-2 and 5-3 before Schoop won it in the ninth against Dellin Betances (1-3).

Rays unveil stadium plans

The Rays unveiled an elaborate plan for a new domed stadium that would take them across Tampa Bay to the Ybor City section of Tampa at a cost of nearly $900 million. The 30,842-seat stadium would be the smallest in MLB and would be covered by a fully enclosed and translucen­t roof.
