Steelers’ Brown day-to-day with undisclose­d injury

The Steelers sent All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown to Pittsburgh for an injury evaluation.

Coach Mike Tomlin didn’t specify the body part that was injured but classified the ailment as “just a day-to-day, minor injury. Nothing to speak of.” Brown was expected “to be fine in a few days,” according to ESPN.

Brown has recorded an NFL-record five consecutiv­e 100-catch seasons and is entering the second year of a contract that pays him around $17 million per season.

Titans safety Cyprien tears ACL

Titans starting safety Johnathan Cyprien will miss the season with a torn left anterior cruciate ligament. He left practice Wednesday after hurting his left knee during a noncontact play. Cyprien, who signed a four-year deal last season, started 10 games after dealing with an injured hamstring.

Former 49ers safety Eric Reid and exSaints safety Kenny Vaccaro are scheduled to visit the Titans. The team has talked about the possibilit­y of pursuing Reid.

Pats sign WR Decker to one-year deal

The Patriots signed free-agent wide receiver Eric Decker to a one-year deal. The news comes a day after the team released veteran wide receiver Jordan Matthews with an injury settlement.

Browns starting right guard Kevin Zeitler will miss several weeks of training camp because of a calf injury. He has started all 48 games over the last three seasons.
